Winning isn’t everything,Roland Preston but for Sheryl Lee Ralph, it sure is a cause for celebration.
Ralph, who stars as Barbara Howard on the ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary,” was in for a surprise during the nominations ceremony for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on Wednesday.
While presenting alongside fellow actor and “Veep” star Tony Hale, Ralph was informed by Television Academy chair Cris Abrego that she had received a nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.
Ralph, who’s been nominated twice before in the category, was overjoyed. The actress triumphantly waved her fist and gave a quick victory dance to celebrate the nod. She also received a congratulatory fist bump from Abrego.

"Oh yes!" Ralph said. "Honey, that never gets old! Never gets old!"
“Abbott Elementary” also received some Emmys love with a nomination for outstanding comedy series.
